How does the student pay for the education? (2007-11-08 11:27:10)

The students who wish to study in the Higher Educational eatablishments of Russia are expected to make the payment of the tuition fees as follows:

Payment for the 1st year of training is executed by bank transfer according to the invoice, which is sent to the student by RACUS. The payment should be made and effected before the student arrival to Russia.

After the receipt and the approval of your educational documents, RACUS would send you the confirmation of admission to the chosen university together with the invoice for the payment of tuition fees, which should be paid within 10 days after the receipt of the same. We recommend you not to delay the payment since a delay in the receipt of the payment would imply your non-interest in the seat offered and the seat would be then offered to some other applicant. In the Russian educational institutions, competition among foreign citizens is intense with several students vying for one seat especially for the specialties such as medical, business, dentistry, pharmacy, management, computer sciences, architecture, construction, specialties of culture and arts. The number of places in these specialties is limited and offered strictly on a first come first served basis.

Payment for the second and subsequent years of education:

1. Payment of the tuition fees can be executed according to the invoice as well as for the first year.

2. The student opens a bank account; RACUS will help you with that, to which your parents (or sponsors) will transfer the tuition fees. The student should withdraw the amount from his bank account, exchange them for the Russian Roubles and make the payment to the cash department of RACUS or the University in the amount specified in the signed contract. Tuition fees are paid in Roubles according to the rate of US dollar or EURO established by the Central Bank of Russian Federation for the day of payment made, depending on the currency stated in the contract.

It is necessary to strictly pay the tuition fees prior to the beginning of the academic year, i.e. before September, 1st every year.

Contravention of terms of the payment of the tuition fees leads to the contravention of rules of the registration and of laws concerning the stay of foreign students on the territory of Russia. The student could be expelled from the University and would have to leave the territory of Russia within 15 days.

RACUS is always ready to render consulting support and help at all times.
